Firefighters and rescuers - heroes of peacetime

Thanks to courage and bravery, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations annually save more than 100 thousand human lives, risking their own.

The proposal to create a monument was made by the veteran organization of the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Mari El in February 2017.The department and the Government of the Republic supported it.

According to the idea of the sculptors, the monument is dedicated to the heroes of peacetime - firefighters and rescuers, those who save human livesrisking themselves. In the center of the composition is a stately figure of a man of this heroic profession with a rescued child in his arms. Behind the man are flames, and next to him there is a dog, his faithful friend and assistant, as a symbol of reliability and fidelity.

The monument was erected on April 29, 2021

The sculptors are Anatoly Alexandrovich Shirnin and Sergey Vasilievich Yandubaev
