Amsterdam waterfront

On November 1, 2013, a monument to Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, the Dutch artist, was unveiled in Yoshkar-Ola. At that time, the municipal authorities decided to rename the waterfront section from Pushkin Street to Gogol Street into the Amsterdam waterfront, where you can see the sculptural composition “Alexander Pushkin” along with the protagonist of the novel “Eugene Onegin”. There is a sculpture of Nikolai Gogol, the Russian writer and playwright, not far from the monument. This urban enclave resembles a piece of stylish Amsterdam with its unusual architecture, all the buildings are made in the Dutch style. Be careful the fairy-tale statuettes are hiddenon the roofs of these houses. Just try to find them!
